A significant part of our practice includes helping nonunion (and partly nonunion) clients avoid, and, if necessary, defeat union organizing, lawfully and ethically. Our lawyers have:
- Conducted union avoidance seminars on a regular basis
- Assisted clients in numerous union organizing/ election campaigns, including decertification, with a greater than 90% success rate
- Handled numerous representation proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, including voting unit, objections to election campaign conduct and challenged ballot issues
We have helped clients with union avoidance in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, retail service and health care. The employee groups involved have ranged in size from 4 to approximately 800, at single and multiple locations, throughout the United States. Our organizing/election campaigns have involved the Teamsters, the Food & Commercial Workers, the Machinists, the Autoworkers, PACE, the Service Employees International Union, and other major unions.
